New Anime Justice + Vote for the Injustice Gang!

Thu Jan 29, 2009, 6:06 PM
Thanks again to everyone who has +faved and commented on my Justice League of Anime artwork [link] It's closing in on 500 +favs and I'm so glad that it has been received so well. Judging from the artwork I uploaded of the individual characters, Sailor Moon [link] is the most popular member of the team! Not too surprising since it's well known that Sailor Moon has a loyal fanbase all over the world. But Cutie Honey [link] and Cyborg 009 [link] are also quite popular, much more so then I expected!

To thank everyone for their support, I have created a brand new artwork of the Anime Justice League. This one is based on my own composition. Check it out! [link]

For months people have been asking me if I will be doing an anime version of the Injustice Gang. I can now say that yes, I will! And I will be letting YOU suggest which anime villains will be included in the line up. I already have a few characters in mind, so don't get upset if your choices are not used, but I'm quite interested in reading your suggestions. Perhaps you can influence which evil characters make the cut.

Remember, the Injustice Gang should have characters who act as counterpoints to each of the Anime Justice League members, as well as collectively approximately replacing the personalities and character traits of the members of the Injustice Gang from the "Injustice for All" episodes of the Justice League animated series. Those members are Lex Luthor (rich science jerk), Cheetah (cat girl), Copperhead (snake dude), Solomon Grundy (giant zombie), The Shade (dark thief), Star Sapphire (snooty magic chick), and the Ultra-Humanite (brainy gorilla). After Copperhead got captured, The Joker came on board, so we'll see what the line up finally ends up looking like. Check out the Wikipiedia entry [link] for more info about the Injustice Gang. You don't have to make a suggestion for every member, so it's fine if you just want to suggest one character.

Don't just pick your favorite villains from whatever is popular right now. Really get into the deep history of anime and pluck out the best of the worst! They need not be from the same franchises as Justice League of Anime members (though that might also be an option), but they should all be able to exist together in some kind of sci-fi setting. Post your picks right here by replying to this journal. Maybe participating will open your eyes to a classic anime show that you would otherwise not think about! I hope to get a good dialogue going, and that everyone has fun with this.

Sayonara.

You know my vote goes to Hakaider for either Ultra-Humanoid or Dark Thief. Though I also suggest Princess Vena from Dragon Half for snooty magic chick...XD

*Chuckles* As poetic as it would be to have all of the Anime Justice Leagues main villains in the picture (And I'm sure ninjatron would do a fantastic job) I'd rather see a few villains who are considerably more evil and Not from the same series as their heroic counterparts.

Here are a few of my suggestions.

Phibrizzo (Slayers) Though I love both Rezo's and how evil they can be, Phibrizzo not only was crazy to the point he wanted his own destruction and was laughing about it, but 'killed' off all of Lina's friends in front of her, something that few villains have done.

Giovanni (Pokemon) Yes, he's from a kids show. That doesn't make the Leader of Team Rocket any less deliciously evil. And while said evil is only hinted at in both games and the anime, the Manga and fanfics both make him out to be a fantastically evil man. Plus, with his money and power backing him, there are few things in the world that Giovanni can't do.

Miyotismon (Digimon) Yet another 'kids show' villain who I honestly think out does quite a number of villains. Not only is he one of the few purely evil (As in, he never turns good even as a trick) beings about AND he makes a return appearances as the big baddie in then next season, something few villains do after their defeat.

Kagato (Tenchi Muyo) Though I haven't watched the Tenchi series in ages, I remember just how villainous Kagato was and the fact that he knocked Ryoko around like a Rag doll.

Treize Khushrenada (Gundam Wing) While I was sorely tempted to put Zechs in here, whom after some thought I've considered a anti-hero more then a villain, Treize simply fits the bill of being evil even if it's not in the traditional sense. Because of him, millions of people have died and an entire war started, simply because one man in power deemed it necessary.

Lucy (Elfen Lied) I've not seen a single episode of this show nor read the manga, however she is, from a single picture alone, one of the most scary Anime Villains I've ever seen.

Right and wrong are not what separate us and our enemies. It's our different standpoints, our perspectives that separate us. Both sides blame one another. There's no good or bad side. Just two sides holding different views.

FINALLY!!!

I know I've been bugging you about this, but sadly I'm not particularly sure who I'd put in there... though that won't stop me from putting my .02 in there.

One concern would be not putting so many lead villains in there. Just like with the IJ, it was hard enough getting that gaggle to work toghether, think about how it would be having some of the arrogant top-dogs in there and being required to work toghether. There'd be some serious ego-gratting amongst thoes used to giving orders rather than taking them. Although it'd be hard... considering the lead villians are usually the only ones left alive at the end of the episode. :P

Kagato would make a good edition... but which version you using? Origional evil scientist or disgraced Juraian prince?

And we're going for some Gundam villains, I'd say boot Treize out (who turned out wasn't that bad in the end... like so many OTHER villains), and put Ali-Al Sanchez in his place.

The terrorist/Mercenary from Gundam 00 is an admitted warmonger, and would probably fit the Bill for the Joker fairly well. He's one of thoes types who, to quote Alfred in DK, 'just wants to see the world burn'.

I'm tempted to offer up 'the major' from hellsing as an idea for Luthors counter... but I'm not sure if that'd be a bit much. Plus, he'd have to come along with his 2 lt's... and that might take up too much space.

I'm also pondering if any Chars from Bleach should be in there. Aizen too could be a good idea for Luthors counter, being the cold, calculating, and amoral jerk that he is... but a few of the Arracar may also work in there as some muscle to counter the likes of Cutey Honey and (remotely)goku.

Also, plenty of decent and actually Evil ninja in Naruto who could fit that bill too.

And seriously, would anyone really WANT excell on there? Probly be best for everyone that she stays far, far away to avoid global catastrophe.

I've been wondering when you were going to do this! And as a long time fan of anime, I think I can help you out.

Legend of Basara: Shuri (aka The Red King) would fit the bill perfectly for this. He kills relentlessly, just to further his own ends, and plans on taking out his father so that he can rule. Not to mention he unknowingly makes the heroine of the series fall for him. Can we say Lex Luthor?

Dragon Ball Z: Cell is the ultimate choice here. I know everyone else said Freeza, but unless Freeza was the big boss, it wouldn't work. Cell, being the super power that he is, would work much better because I think he actually could work under someone's orders. Not to mention he's crazy in those 'last minute desperation' moments.

Naruto: Itachi. Need I Say more? Cold and ruthless to the point of killing his family and the entire village as a teen just to see if he could. Oh, and of course to get a secret jutsu. With his ultimate Sharingan technique, he would prove to be very useful indeed.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Sensui is the ultimate psychopath. With numerous personalities and a lust for destruction and power to boot, he makes for the ultimate baddy. Not to mention his God Like powers. Who wouldn't want this guy's help to take over the world?

Bleach: Ulquiorra, the 'Don't mess with me or I'll kill you' Espada. As the fourth strongest member of Aizen's army, he is also the most vicious. The other Espada all seem to have some comical nature to them, or they at least seem to enjoy what they're doing. Not this one, though. He's cold and calculating, and isn't afraid to prove his might to any who cross him. So what if he looks kind of emo?

That's all I got for ya. I'm excited to see who you choose!

The day I came into your village was the greatest day of your life. But for me...it was Tuesday.
:iconautobubbs:
Yeah, Itachi would fit that bill fairly nicely. And with that funky mental power he's got going he might even get some hits in on goku
:iconnuke-mayhem:
Wait... Let me change that on the anime Teen Titans.
Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist) "Team Leader"
Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV (Cowboy Bebop)
Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto)
Guu (Hare and Guu)
Alphones Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Let's see...
Unlimited is all I've got, only a few as well
Lex Luthor -- Crocoldile (One Piece) ((Powerful, Strong, and I'm pretty sure rich as well, the perfect Lex.))
Joker (Wikipedia says he's part of it)-- Buggy the clown (One Piece) ((It's pretty obvious why))
Catwoman-- *REVERSE GENDER TIME* Kuro (One Piece) (( He's got that cat thing going on.))

...Yes it's only One Piece, so what? They all fit!

Anyone here seen Weiss Kruez? The Takatori family (omitting Omi/Mamoru and Persia) is made up of insane people. Reiji Takatori heads the whole thing and is the "main" villian through the series. He's a mad man for letting Schwarz wander around, espeically that nut Farfarello. I could definately see some of the Schwarz guys in the Injustice Gang though...

Another of my suggestions would be Diva from Blood+ Freaky vampire chics are mad scary. Or maybe Amshel... Basically pulling all of Diva's strings and working her like a puppet.

I'd also like to point out my favorite mad doctor from Yami no Matsuei/Decendants of Darkness that I'd personally love to see blown to pieces: Kazutaka Muraki. His abusive brother was killed, so Muraki kills to find a way to bring his brother back to life so he can personally RE-KILL him. ....He's an excellent manipulator too. Perverse twisted evil man.

I have to place Nakago on this list from Fushigi Yuugi too. He's another manipulator that is also a quick double-crosser. Everything is about his own personal advances in the world, but quietly and calmly in a way that looks like his efforts are someone elses.
