Here's Nintendo's own Super Mario and Princess Peach outside of the castle from Super Mario 64.

The concept here is that Mario has taken Peach by the hand and pulled her out onto the field so he can finally show her all the trouble he has to go through to save the day. How a terrible creature like me ever came up with such a sweet idea, I do not know. I thought it would be fun, but circumstances made it harder than I thought it'd be. There are some flaws but I'm still happy with it.

Actually, there is a secret to this artwork. You see, I was actually commissioned to draw this picture for someone who wanted to give a gift to his friends, a couple of Nintendo fans who are getting married. I drew their faces on Mario and Peach's bodies. Once I was finished and the final image was submitted, I changed their faces back into Mario and Peach so I could show it to all the other Nintendo fans out there.

This was all done in Photoshop. No paper used at all. Hope you like it.

Thanks! Next time I update my website [link] I will put up a picture of the background on its own without any characters. It's pretty much exactly based on the outside of the castle from Super Mario 64, right down to the location of the trees.

Great color usage, and great background. The one thing that kinda irks me is Mario's pose.
His arm is kinda bent backward, and the rest of his body doesn't follow the same perceptual distortion that the rest of the pic does. It's a good piece nonetheless. Keep at it. :D :+fav:
