From my artwork THE JUSTICE LEAGUE OF ANIME. I painted each of the seven characters there separately, and here you can get a better look at each of them.

Comment and +fav if you want, but make sure you check out and do the same for the original artwork. [link]

Here is the story of how this character joins the Justice League. Read them in order.

---

He didn't know all the details. That enigmatic Captain Harlock sure keeps a lot of secrets. All he was really told to do was to find a way in, locate a specific containment tube in some secret room, and then contact him and await further instruction. He knew it was dangerous, doing all this after the strictly imposed curfew, but he figured he was up to the task. He didn't know what was inside the tube or why it was so important. But, it didn't matter. He's Lupin III, the greatest thief in the history of the world, and he's got a reputation to maintain! Breaking into the Metro City Ministry of Science? No problem! Now that he's gotten this far, it should be just a simple matter of sliding down this vent, opening the door, and....

Huh... this screen says "Insert key card". He didn't have a key card, so he just figured he'd pick the lock. He jammed his tie clip into the slot, fidgeted around with it, and listened for that sweet click of success. Instead he was treated to the sounds of an awfully loud alarm and a squadron of security robots on his tail.

Never did get the hang of this computer stuff! Time to run.

Lupin tried to shake his pursuers without much success, sprinting from room to room, trying to find a place to hide, knocking over various electronic gizmos along the way, and generally making a mess of things. Just as he thought he was cornered, the robots suddenly malfunctioned. He breathed a sigh of relief, until a woman in a lab coat walked in. He saw her name tag and figured that she must work here, but if it's past the globally enforced curfew, than what's she doing here so late?

"Looking for this?" says the beautiful Miss H. Kisaragi while waving a key card back and forth.

I love lupin the 3rd however one has wonder I mean he has been going on for over 20 something years I mean you think he be getting old to do most stuff he does after while. I wonder if they ever end the lupin saga.
:iconninjatron:
Yeah, that's very true. Because I wanted to have all the Anime Justice League characters in a futuristic setting, Lupin is the only one who doesn't quite fit in. He's just sort of an ever-lasting character, like James Bond. We'll just say that he kept himself healthy in order to survive long enough to see all the robots and space ships that would have to exist in a story like this.

And much like James Bond, some how I think Lupin will be around for a long, long time. If they ever stop making Lupin anime, it will only be temporary.

I just meant I am suprised they haven't attempted a reboot I mean most of the specials I have seen seem to be holding on to current continuty since 3rd lupin tve series well with exception or two. I just remember in one of the tv specials that made mention that zenigata had been chasing lupin for something like 25 years since first lupin series.
:iconninjatron:
Yeah, Lupin just sort of goes from one adventure to the next, so there isn't much "continuity" to cling to. It's not like the stories keep developing on top of each other. But if they were to do a Casino Royale type thing with Lupin I think that would be quite interesting.

He totally is Japan's equivelant to James Bond. Except the only real difference is that he's a bad guy himself in a way. But the good thing is he stops even bigger super-villains.

This is a good drawing of him, I still don't know how he got such wide shoulders. You should check out what I'm doing. I turned myself into Lupin, it's my newest deviation. And I'm going to make my own version of the poster for his second film, The Castle of Cagliostro.

Anime is awesome, Smooth Jazz is amazingly relaxing, especially Yuji Ohno's work, the guy who does all the music for Lupin the 3rd. I am so into Lupin right now. But Slayers is still my most favorite.

If you're not into anime, you should be.
