It's a high tech alien samurai from the UK!

This image was done during the summer of 2005 for an online Japanese toy store operating out of England, but I don't know if it ever got off the ground. At least I still got paid!

intersting idea... i dont quite get it tho lol, aliens i get, Uk i get, samurai i get, all together is wierd tho, but also really really cool
the pic looks awesome aswell

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I do use a tablet. It's a Wacom Intuos 2 9x12. I did this picture a year ago, but I'm pretty sure I remember scanning in a pencil drawing and digitally inking it in Photoshop with my tablet before colouring it.

Thanks. It is kinda weird, but I was just following orders. The guy wanted a high tech alien ninja or samurai, so that's what I came up with. And since the guy's website was based in the UK, I make the Union Jack into a battle flag.

I also think it'd make an awesome action figure. In fact, there was an interest in making a collectable figure at one point, so that could have happened! But I don't even think the website ever got off the ground. Too bad.

Yes, using a tablet is like night and day compared to not using one. But remember that it won't solve all your problems, it's just a tool. I went without a tablet for a long time and still went forward with making artwork.
