It's June already. That means it's my birthday soon. Cool, I guess.
In spite of graduating with distinction and having 10+ years of experience as an instructor, It's still been a struggle to make this whole art thing work. But it's all good. At the end of the day, I'm still an artist
. I make art
. That's what I have to do, so I'll get there somehow.
I uploaded a few traditional pieces I did for college that I felt like sharing. And not a moment too soon, There was some flooding
right where I stored my work. A lot of it got wet. Thankfully, the damage was not too bad. I had just organized everything and scanned what I wanted a few weeks prior, so it wouldn't have been the end of the world if anything was lost forever. I'm glad it wasn't, though. I'm curious if anyone else has had some stories they'd like to share about losing or almost losing artwork due to some kind of unforeseeable circumstance. If so, please leave a comment
I have not done much new illustration because I've been working on a new revision
of my website SykoGrafix.com
. I even took an online class to learn how to do HTML and CSS all proper-like. I hope to be able to share within the next few weeks. When that is finally up, I'm going to do a lot more to raise my profile, including getting back to doing more Ninjapocalypse
, as well as a personal Tumblr for other art and stuff. I should be doing more to get my artwork out there and get some more work, but I want to do some cool fan art too. I'll be doing more art streams
too, so be sure to follow me on Twitter
for info on when that happens.
